Who We Are and What We Believe
We are a church grounded in the apostolic tradition, worshiping the Holy Trinity—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—and participating in the divine life given to us through Christ. We are committed to living out the fullness of the faith entrusted to the saints, rooted in the one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church.
Our faith is expressed through the worship, teachings, and sacramental life handed down through the ages. We uphold the creeds of the undivided Church—Nicene, Apostolic, and Athanasian—as faithful expressions of the mystery of God. The Holy Scriptures, inspired by God and entrusted to the Church, guide our life and practice, interpreted within the sacred tradition preserved by the fathers and councils.
The Holy Trinity
We worship one God in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—eternally existing in love and perfect communion. This mystery is beyond comprehension, yet it is revealed to us in Christ, who makes the Father known and who, together with the Father, has sent the Holy Spirit to dwell among us.
The Incarnation and the Cross
In the fullness of time, the eternal Son of God took on our humanity for our salvation. Through His death on the cross, He destroyed sin and death; through His resurrection, He restored creation; and through His ascension, He has seated humanity at the right hand of the Father. In Christ, we are called to die to sin and be raised to new life, conformed to His image through participation in His Body, the Church.
The Holy Spirit and the Life of the Church
The Holy Spirit is the giver of life, making present the grace of Christ and uniting us to the Father. Through the Church, He calls us into communion, sanctifies us through the mysteries of the sacraments, and empowers us to bear witness to the kingdom of God. The Christian life is not possible apart from the Spirit’s work, and we depend on His presence for our transformation in Christ.
Word and Sacrament
The Scriptures, as received and proclaimed within the Church, nourish and shape us. The sacraments, particularly Baptism and the Holy Eucharist, are not merely symbols but real participations in the life of Christ. Through them, we are united with Him and with one another, receiving His grace for our salvation and sanctification.
Our Mission: Bearing Witness to the Kingdom
The Church exists to glorify God and to manifest His kingdom on earth. We are not called to conform to the patterns of the world but to live as a people transformed by divine love. As we gather in worship, we are nourished in Christ, and as we are sent out, we carry His light into the world. The way of the cross—self-giving love, sacrifice, and resurrection—is the pattern of our life.
Our Core Values
Our Place in the Church
We stand within the apostolic tradition of the Church, upholding the faith once delivered to the saints. Our parish is part of the worldwide Anglican tradition, a historic communion that traces its roots to the undivided Church. We are committed to the theological and sacramental life preserved through the centuries, living in continuity with the wisdom of the fathers and councils.
Our faith is not something we invent but something we receive. In matters essential, we stand firm in truth; in matters where mystery remains, we seek understanding with humility; and in all things, we strive to love as Christ has loved us.
