Father Trevor is the bi-vocational Rector of Christ Our King, providing oversight to the church’s vision, direction and spiritual care. As a church planter, Trevor had a dream of establishing a thriving community centred around the tenants of the historic church. Through the grace of God, that dream is now a reality! Trevor's passions are the church’s people, worshipping God through the Tradition, and making disciples of Christ. Previously an atheist, he has experienced first hand how the Gospel can radically change a life, and longs to see that change in others. Trevor is currently pursuing his Master’s degree in Biblical studies and has a love for church history, drawing inspiration from St. Paul the Apostle, St. Maximum the Confessor, St. Irenaeus, C.S. Lewis, and G.K. Chesterton.
Outside of the church, you’ll find Trevor in the shop doing his other passion: tattooing. Prior to entering into Holy Orders, he was a staple in Calgary’s art industry as a long time tattoo artist, illustrator and painter. He has been drawing since he was a boy and dreamed of becoming a comic book illustrator. His path eventually led to tattooing and he remains a tattooer to this day, working part time. Trevor’s unique role gives him the opportunity to show Christ’s love to all the people he meets in his chair, and to be a light in the community. He is also a self professed comic nerd (Batman is life) who enjoys leather crafting, podcasts, and spending time with his wife, Melody, and their dwarf Bullmastiff, Freyja. Trevor and Melody love traveling, eating good food, and seeing what random things they can find at thrift stores.
