Melody has worn many different hats over the years. Since the beginning, she has been involved with administration, finances, services, Sunday school, events, community, mission, media, and everything in between (church planting, amiright?). Working alongside Fr. Trevor, a very small group of people, and by the grace of God, Melody has assisted in creating a community where many of these roles are now fulfilled by Christ Our King's amazing parishioners. Currently, she serves as interim Finance Officer, permanent Media & Graphics Coordinator, and Children’s Chapel Leader. Her favourite thing about the Church is watching first hand the unique ways in which the Gospel tangibly changes people’s lives and seeing them come into their callings.
Melody spent most of her career in the oil & gas industry, working in various administration roles before becoming a land analyst. Wanting to pursue a career in non-profit, she quit her role after securing a job at an agency. Not long after that, the world came to a standstill and she is now in the journey of pursing what God might have next for her while working in Finance for a tech company. Melody loves spending time with Trevor and their dog Freyja, traveling, experiencing other cultures, reading, all the food, video games, pilates, beaches, and hot weather. She has a heart for community, people, and animals. She knows way more about Batman than she ever wanted to.
