Greg serves as the Parish Council's Rector’s Warden. You might also find him occasionally playing guitar on the Worship team. Greg is a lifelong Christian who has come to deeply value the rhythms of the traditional Church. His journey into Anglicanism has taken a number of years, but he has not experienced anything like the depth and richness that the Anglican tradition has to offer. Greg is structural engineer by day - a vocation that he has felt a calling and anointing on since before he really knew what it was. Greg describes his career journey as anything but a straight path, but every opportunity along the way was clearly orchestrated by the Lord. This path eventually led him to Calgary and to Christ Our King, where he feels passionate about the church, Fr. Trevor’s vision, and ultimately, bringing hope to a broken world. Serving on the Parish Council is decision born out of a combination of all that he has learned in these journeys, and God laying the groundwork for this path. Greg completed a Christian leadership course while stationed in the U.K. for work, and has gained much experience in leading teams & projects through his career. He feels humbled to serve the church with the talents God has given him.
Greg grew up in Southern Alberta, went to the University of Calgary, is married to Mariah, and has two awesome kids, Leif and Aaro. He has been serving in Worship since he was a teenager when he first picked up the guitar. He loves to camp in summer with his family, designing & building things for their house, and driving his ’97 Cobra. Greg also loves to play & watch hockey (go Flames go!), and has a literal hockey rink in his backyard during the winter that he built himself.
