About Us
Hello and welcome! We are C.O.K.A. Kids and we are so glad that you are here. We believe that you, the parent, have the greatest oversight of your child’s spiritual journey and we love being able to join with you as a supplement to their growth. We value the diversity of testimonies that are held within our church family and believe it is valuable for our children to engage with other members of their spiritual community. We believe that the Bible is the self-revelation of God and as such is the only objective source of truth about God and His redemptive plan for the cosmos. We hold to the traditions and teaching of the catholic Church as received by the Anglican communion, which are expressed in the catholic creeds, the Anglican formularies and the Book of Common Prayer.
Mission
C.O.K.A Kid’s mission is to offer a Gospel-centred, child-friendly environment, rooted in ancient biblical truths and traditions that will help our children grow to be people who look like their Father in heaven. Our prayer for this space is that children would feel welcomed and empowered in their identity as one who is made in God’s image and for his glory, would grow in knowledge of the scriptures and the Gospel, and would ultimately have fun playing and learning as an active participant in His creation and love.
Curriculum
Derived from the Holy Scriptures, To be a Christian: An Anglican Catechism will set the Essential Questions and Enduring Understandings of our time spent together. This document, put out by the ACNA, is focused on deepening understanding of the reality of Christian faith and life. It is our goal that our children will not only learn about God, but will experience Him and will come to more deeply understand the doctrines of our faith as summarised in the liturgies that we pray together each Sunday. Our time together will follow a similar pattern each week, mirroring what is taking place in the upstairs chapel.
